First, if you are here because you lost a child as well, I want to tell you how deeply sorry I am for your loss.
No parent should outlive their child and unfortunately I know many of you are here because your baby is no longer in your arms.
Broken Beautiful Mamahood started as a little Instagram account that didn’t have a lot of direction. Originally called Elephant Bear and Fox for each of my three boys, it was used for promoting my Etsy shop with the same name. A little over a year and a half in, I developed chronic illness and was unable to keep up with orders and closed my Etsy shop. After my daughter was born, I knew it needed a new name. I was struggling to adjust to being a mom of 4 and battling postpartum depression. I came to realize that, while my life is broken, because of the grace and mercy of God, it is beautiful.
A few months later, a reel I posted through my tears went viral and since then I have felt God lead me to use the momentum to minister to other loss moms. I have been able to meet so many new moms and hear their stories. I have even been able to reconnect with members of Judah’s care team. And I have grown in my grief and found so much healing.
I hope to continue to support you with a blog now as well as well as continue to raise awareness of infant loss and Potters Syndrome.
